The Washington County Commission has announced its new Business Patriot program, an initiative to help keep Washington County both law-abiding and economically strong. The deadline to complete the licensing renewal education requirements is November 30, 2009. This education has been approved by DOPL.       
Earn the CEU's Required to Renew Your License
The Utah Chapter of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors is offering a one day class on Soars Grounding & Bonding. This 8 hour class will be offered on two separate days and has a cost of $35 if pre-registered and $40 at the door. Southwest Federal Credit Union Building a Food Pyramid
SouthWest Federal Credit Union is putting a new twist on the traditional "Food Pyramid". They'll be collecting non-perishable food items in their 6 branches during the month of October, using them to build a giant pyramid in their St. George - Tabernacle branch. Those who donate a case of food will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Visa gift card.

Only 966 Home Run 2 Grants Remaining
HomeGrantSeal2.jpgThe first Home Run Grant Program, which ended in June 2009, provided a $6000 grant to eligible home buyers. Home Run 2 provides a $4000 grant. The first program required that homes be ready for occupancy upon closing. Home Run 2 buyers have two additional options. They can purchase a home that is contracted for construction or partially finished and contract for completion. Homes that have been previously occupied do not qualify. The grants will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. All requests must be received before December 1, 2009. For more information, click here

White House Eyes Extending Home Buyer Tax Credit
